Smooth signage · in pilot

One brand.
A hundred authors.

skrm.app runs your business's screens from one place. The designer sets the standard once – fonts, colours, logo and locked templates – and everyone else publishes their own posts within it in a minute. The same look on every screen, with a live clock, weather and departures – and screens that keep playing even when the network doesn't.

// Design policy

The designer sets the standard.
Everyone else publishes within it.

Your brand shouldn't depend on who happens to be writing. In skrm.app the design is a policy: the designer decides fonts, colours, logo and layout once – and every post, from every shop, depot and office, automatically stays within the lines. Nobody needs to know design for it to come out right.

01

The designer decides

  • Brand profile – fonts, colours and logo are added once and carried into every template.
  • Locked zones – which font, which colours, smallest and largest size, how many characters and lines, where the picture may go.
  • Drafts until they are ready – others only see a template once the designer publishes it.
  • Brand changed? Every template that uses it is updated – after a confirmation.
02

Everyone else fills in

  • Picks from approved templates, shown filled in so the right one is easy to choose.
  • Only allowed choices appear – no fonts, colours or sizes outside the policy.
  • Text adapts – it shrinks within the limits to fit, or the tool says so straight away.
  • Pictures from the image bank or a photo from your phone – cropped and placed in the zone.
03

Consistent on every screen

  • The same look whoever wrote it, and the preview is exactly what is shown.
  • Quality checks – contrast, picture sharpness, margins and legibility at a distance are tested in the template.
  • Approval where it is needed – for the whole organization or a single group.
  • Traceable – every post has a history, and the log shows who published what.

// How it works

From design to screen in three steps.

The look is decided once. The content changes as often as you like – without anyone being able to break it.

  1. 01

    Design

    The designer builds the template in the studio – from a starter layout or their own background, in the brand's fonts and colours. Each zone gets locked rules: fonts, colours, sizes and how much text fits.

    studio · zones · rules
  2. 02

    Fill in

    The shop, warehouse or office picks an approved template, writes its text and chooses a picture – within the designer's limits and with a preview that looks exactly like the screen.

    text · picture · preview
  3. 03

    Play

    The server draws a sharp picture or video in the screen's resolution. Screens download, check and switch only when everything is local – never a black frame. Then the screen reports what it actually showed.

// Template studio

The design tool that keeps things in order.

Designers build templates right in the browser – with the moves of a real design program, and checks that make sure it looks great on the screen, not just on the laptop.

The template studio: a template with a text zone selected, toolbar, zone settings and quality check
  • A real canvasSnapping guides, multi-select, align and distribute, layers, undo and copy between templates – with keyboard or mouse.
  • Never start from scratchStarter layouts in your brand, landscape, portrait or 4K. Make a portrait version of a landscape template in one click.
  • The brand comes alongFonts, colours and logo are linked. Change the brand and you are asked whether every template using it should follow.
  • Quality check built inContrast against what lies under the text, pictures enlarged too much, text too close to the edge or too small for the viewing distance.
  • MotionHeadlines that slide in, pictures that pan slowly. The screen draws the motion itself – smoothly, even on older screens.
  • Try before you publishFill the template with sample text or the longest text the rules allow and see at once whether everything fits.

// Easy administration

Easy to run.
Even when you're short on time.

Everything is done in the browser – on a computer or a phone. The overview shows at once what needs attention, and everyone only sees what they need.

  • Overview firstScreens online, alerts, pending approvals and today's publications – and a list of what needs doing.
  • The right menu for each roleLocal users get a short menu with their posts and screens. English or Swedish, light or dark.
  • A post in a minutePick a template, type straight into the preview and choose where and when. It saves as you type.
  • A preview like the screenWhat you see while typing is exactly what is shown – text that doesn't fit is shrunk or stopped at once.
  • Emergency stop always at handA button at the top of every page. Screens respond in about a second.
  • Works on a phoneTake a photo and publish straight from your phone, or check what a screen is showing right now.

// Live screens

Screens that know what time it is.

Widgets are live parts of the templates – clock, weather, departures, news, calendars and much more – that the screen draws itself on top of the content. Fonts, colours and placement follow the template, so they look like they've always belonged there.

  • Clock and date in your time zone – right even if the screen's own clock is off.
  • Weather where the screen is or for a fixed place: right now, hour by hour or day by day.
  • Departures and disruptions from the nearest stop – delays, cancellations and the operators' own notices about diversions and roadworks.
  • Change it in one place – every screen showing the widget follows at once.
  • Works without a network. The screen keeps count itself, and would rather show nothing than stale data.

And more to choose from

  • News feeds
  • Key figures from spreadsheets
  • Countdown
  • QR code
  • Name day and week
  • Map with route
  • Street view
  • Intranet news
  • Slideshow
  • Calendar
  • Free meeting rooms
  • QR polls

// Motion and video

Video where it makes a difference.

Put a film in any media zone. It is cropped and gets rounded corners just like a picture – and text can sit on top.

  • Motion without film. Text that slides in and pictures that pan slowly are drawn live by the screen – no heavy video files.
  • Everything becomes one film. Background, text and videos are put together before they reach the screen, so it only plays one video at a time – smooth even on older screens.
  • Any format. Films from a phone are converted automatically to what screens play best, up to 4K.
  • Sound when it fits. Sound is chosen per template, and screens that must be quiet are muted with one click.
  • Always current. Change the content and the film is replaced in every playlist by itself.

// Screens

Screens that look after themselves.

A screen at a depot or in an entrance should just work – without anyone having to go there. The player keeps an eye on itself, and whatever is still needed is done remotely.

  • No app to install. The player runs in the screen's own browser – older screen models too.
  • A screen without a browser? A ready-made small player: insert the memory card, pick the network on your phone via the QR code on the screen, done.
  • Self-healing. If something stalls, playback restarts, and the player reloads itself when needed – only if it knows it will come back.
  • Night mode and nightly restart. Switch screens off when nobody is looking, and let older screens restart in peace and quiet.
  • Calm mode. If an older screen stutters, it switches to lighter files by itself – and tries full mode again after a week.
  • Remote control. Fetch new content, restart the player or take a screenshot of exactly what the screen shows.
  • Important public announcements. If you like, official emergency alerts (VMA) show automatically on the screens where they apply.
  • Alerts and uptime. If a screen goes quiet or storage runs low, the right people hear about it – and the statistics show how much of the time each screen was running.

// Integrations

Connected to what you already use.

skrm.app fetches what it needs from the right source – so the screens stay up to date by themselves.

Design tools

Fetch designs straight in as template backgrounds – and update the template with one click when the design changes.

Weather forecasts

Official forecasts for the whole Nordic region, fetched and updated automatically.

Public transport

Real-time departures from stops all over Sweden – with delays, cancellations and disruption notices.

Intranet and calendar

News and pictures from your intranet, shared calendars and free meeting rooms. We only read what you explicitly open.

Maps and places

Maps with places, routes along the roads and street-level photos – and each screen tied to the place where it stands.

News and key figures

News feeds and figures from published spreadsheets – paste the link and the screen keeps itself up to date.

Documents

Drop an ordinary text document (.docx) and its headings, text and pictures become finished posts in the right template.

Email and chat

Invitations, new passwords, alerts and approvals – by email or straight into your team's chat channel.

Screens

The player runs in the screen's browser – older models too – or on a ready-made small player. Diagnostics, screenshots and restarts remotely.

// Features

Everything a screen fleet needs.
Nothing it doesn't.

Templates with locked rules

The brand holds, whoever writes. Zones limit fonts, colours, size, characters and lines – and text that doesn't fit is stopped before it reaches the screen.

Offline-first

Every file is checked and stored in the screen. If the network drops, the screen plays on – and even restarts without it.

Scheduling

Days, times, dates and priority per screen or group. The timeline is sent ahead, so the screen switches on the second even offline.

Approval

Switch on review for the whole organization or a single group. What gets published is exactly what was approved.

Emergency stop

A message – or black – on one screen, a group or everything. Reaches the screens in about a second.

QR polls

Put a question on the screen – staff answer on their phones and the result grows live. Anonymous, one vote per phone, no sign-in. The designer decides the look, anyone can ask.

Sign in with your work account

Single sign-on with your company account – one password fewer. Can be required for everyone, and people who leave can no longer get in.

Proof of play

Screens report what they actually showed – even while offline. See showings and time on screen per post, screen and day, and export them for the report.

Energy and climate

See what the screens use, cost and emit – per screen and day – and what night mode saves. Ready for the sustainability report.

Test pattern

Open the test pattern on a screen and check sharpness, colours, edges and resolution on site.

Rules that switch themselves on

Icy roads, snow or strong wind where the screen is? Cancelled or delayed departures? The right post shows while it applies – and goes away when it is over.

Groups and roles

Administrator, designer and local user. Local users get whole groups or single screens – and see only those and their own content.

Versions and history

Every change to a template becomes a new version, and content keeps its history. Something went wrong? Restore an earlier version with one click.

Alerts and overview

See what every screen is playing right now. If a screen goes quiet or storage runs low, the right people get an alert – in the app, by email or in your team's chat channel.

Remote diagnostics

Every screen reports its browser, storage, network and clock. Run a test on site – the result shows up in the admin.

Your brand, built in

Add your fonts and colours once. New templates start in your style, and the gallery shows every template filled in – so everyone picks the right one.

From your phone

Take a photo, write two lines and publish. The picture is turned and scaled on the phone before it is uploaded.

From a document

A text document (.docx) becomes finished posts: headings, text and pictures land in the right zones and shrink to fit.

Integrations in one place

One page shows what is connected and guides you step by step through the rest – with ready-made instructions for IT.

A sealed log

Every event is kept with who, when, IP address and device in a chain that cannot be changed afterwards without it showing.

Storage that stays tidy

Files nobody has used for a long time are suggested for clean-up – nothing disappears unless someone decides so. Pictures made automatically and no longer used are cleared by themselves.

// Examples

Made in skrm.app.

Real screens from two demo setups – a logistics company and a café. Same tool, completely different styles.

// Security and operations

Built for the IT department too.

Screens hang in public places and the content carries the brand. That's why security isn't an add-on – it's the foundation: zero trust, separated organizations and sign-in with your own company account.

  • Zero trustEvery request is checked anew – who you are, which organization and which role – wherever it comes from. Screens have their own keys that reach only their own content and can be revoked one by one.
  • Multi-tenant with watertight wallsOrganizations share the platform but never data. Every query is filtered by organization in the code, and the database itself refuses to hand out another organization's records. Each organization has its own address.
  • Sign in with your company accountSingle sign-on (SSO) via OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Connected services are approved the same way – we never get your passwords.
  • Two-step loginRequired for administrators and designers. Repeated failed attempts are slowed down and the account is locked for a while.
  • Least privilegeConnections to your intranet and calendars read only what you explicitly open – nothing else.
  • Encrypted, rotatable keysKeys for connected services are stored encrypted, never shown again, and the encryption key can be replaced without downtime.
  • Private storageMedia is only reached through short-lived, signed links. Uploads are checked and redrawn before use.
  • A sealed event logWho, when, from where and on which device – in a chain that reveals changes. Filter it and export it.
  • Encrypted backups – and restore to the minuteEvery night, encrypted before they leave the server, kept for 30 days. The database can also be restored to any minute of the last 14 days.
  • Isolated renderingPictures and films are drawn in a sealed-off environment with no network access and no privileges – it cannot reach anything else.
  • Not kept longer than neededThe event log is pruned after a year, and removed files also disappear from the backup after a while.
  • Hosted in the EUServers, storage and backups in Frankfurt.

You create the message.
The screens take care of the rest.
